Favorable outcome with early initiation of VV-ECMO for unilateral lung disease in children

Abstract: Unilateral lung diseases such as unilateral pneumonia, trauma or pulmonary hemorrhage can cause profound hypoxemic respiratory failure necessitating mechanical ventilation.
