Ionic liquid has become a very fascinating modifier in the past few years. With the help of an ionic liquid-modified carbon paste electrode, electrochemistry has become a great way to find different drugs with a lower detection limit and high sensitivity and selectivity. The circulation of electrons of the ring in the cationic part of ionic liquid enables in lowering of the electron resistance and further enhancing the electrical conductivity. The combination of ionic liquids with various kinds of materials such as Nobel metals, metal oxides, graphene oxides, carbon nanotubes (CNT), etc. has further improved its catalytic activity as a modifier enabling faster electron transfer. Additionally, the ability of an ionic liquid to dissolve other chemicals allows for the incorporation of the electrolytes and redo-active species into the electrode, enhancing its performance. Anti-cancer drugs are life-saving but have a lot of side effects, but one of the biggest is cardiotoxicity, which is very important for saving patients' lives. So figuring out what these drugs are is a big task for scientists all over the world. Therefore, the current review enlightens the path for using ionic liquid as a modifier for the detection of anthracycline and purine-pyrimidine-based anti-cancer drugs.

Our general purpose was to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for the use of exosomes (EXOs) that have high levels of CD47 as stable and efficient drug carriers. Thus, we prepared EXOs from adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (ADMSCs) that had high levels of CD47 (EXOsCD47) and control EXOs (without CD47), and then compared their immune escape in vivo and their resistance to phagocytosis in vitro. Nanoflow cytometry was used to determine the CD47 level in these EXOs, and the amount of EXOsCD47 that remained in rat plasma at 3 h after intraperitoneal injection. Phagocytosis of the EXOs was also determined using in vitro rat macrophage bone marrow (RMA-BM) experiments. Our in vitro results showed that macrophages ingested significantly more control EXOs than EXOsCD47 (p < 0.01), with confirmation by ultra-high-definition laser confocal microscopy. Consistently, our in vivo results showed that rats had 1.377-fold better retention of EXOsCD47 than control EXOs (p < 0.01). These results confirmed that these engineered EXOsCD47 had improved immune escape. Our results therefore verified that EXOsCD47 had increased immune evasion relative to control EXOs, and have potential for use as drug carriers.

Polyacrylic acid (PAA) is a non-toxic, biocompatible, and biodegradable polymer that gained lots of interest in recent years. PAA nano-derivatives can be obtained by chemical modification of carboxyl groups with superior chemical properties in comparison to unmodified PAA. For example, nano-particles produced from PAA derivatives can be used to deliver drugs due to their stability and biocompatibility. PAA and its nanoconjugates could also be regarded as stimuli-responsive platforms that make them ideal for drug delivery and antimicrobial applications. These properties make PAA a good candidate for conventional and novel drug carrier systems. Here, we started with synthesis approaches, structure characteristics, and other architectures of PAA nanoplatforms. Then, different conjugations of PAA/nanostructures and their potential in various fields of nanomedicine such as antimicrobial, anticancer, imaging, biosensor, and tissue engineering were discussed. Finally, biocompatibility and challenges of PAA nanoplatforms were highlighted. This review will provide fundamental knowledge and current information connected to the PAA nanoplatforms and their applications in biological fields for a broad audience of researchers, engineers, and newcomers. In this light, PAA nanoplatforms could have great potential for the research and development of new nano vaccines and nano drugs in the future.
