Abstract:This paper presents a feasibility study to enhance microwave imaging (MWI) for intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) detection using an innovative metamaterial (MM) design. To this end, we simulate a radar-based approach in CST Microwave Studio and use a previously developed algorithm based on Huygens principle to produce images with and without the MM. Our results indicate that the proposed MM film can significantly improve target localization and decrease image artefacts.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
