Abstract:This paper presents the results of a numerical study of the effects of a non-isothermal vortex flow generated by a profiled surface on the thermal and hydraulic parameters of the flow. Three variants of the dimples geometry are examined at the constant value of the Reynolds number. During direct numerical simulation, the influence of the dimples geometry onto the additional resistance of the flow surface and thermal energy efficiency were determined. It is shown that direct variation of these parameters can im… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
