Abstract:Patients undergoing chemotherapy are vulnerable to infection because of immunosuppression and prolonged hospitalizations. Chemotherapy drugs affect neutrophil production through myelosuppression (1) and low inflammatory response so that fever maybe the manifestation of infection (2).
