Abstract:The feeding deterrence and larvicidal potential effects of Melletia furrgunia seed powder solvent extract against Plutella xylostella L. larvae were evaluated under laboratory conditions. Cabbage leaves were dipped into a test solution of 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, and 1.4mg/ml (w/v) for 1hr. The result showed that feeding was fully prevented at higher rates of polar solvent extracts. Leaves treated with polar extracts caused higher larval mortality.
