Abstract: Fig. 9.1 Normal squamous epithelium of the ectocervix. The outer surface superficial squamous cells have abundant glycogenated cytoplasm and small pyknotic nuclei, while the middle intermediate cells have larger, more pale nuclei and less intracytoplasmic glycogen.
