Abstract:R ecently, Hocking and Whiteford (1997) critically reviewed Fidler's Life Sryle Performance Model, challenging the clariry of theoretical construction of the model, the claims of the universali ry of application of the model, and the scholarship of Fidlet's (19%) writing. We do not concur. We find Hocking and White ford's premises to be unsupported, their arguments ullclear, and their examples taken out of comext.
