Filling a major gap in the LGM chronology of the Eastern Alps: New evidence from Enns and Mur glaciers (Austria)

Abstract: <p>During the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM), large glacier tongues reached far into the alpine foreland and formed piedmont lobes. Common deposits are moraine “amphitheatres” directly connected to glaciofluvial deposits, which are both suitable for (direct) age dating.
