Abstract:The efficient generation of entangled photons at telecom wavelength is crucial for the success of many quantum communication protocols and the development of fiber-based quantum networks. Entangled light can be generated by solid state quantum emitters with naturally low fine structure splitting, such as highly symmetric InAs quantum dots (QDs) grown on (111)-oriented surfaces. Incorporating this kind of QDs into optical cavities is critical to achieve sufficient signal intensities for applications, but has so… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
