Finite Element Modeling of Correlating Mechanical Properties with Erosion Wear Rate

Abstract: A finite element display dynamic model was developed to study mechanical properties of single layer coatings under single solid particle impact, simulating particulate erosion conditions. Four coatings on the same material substrate material were analyzed to determine reduction in additional factors influence.
