Finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of fractional order switched systems

Abstract: Finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of fractional order switched systems with [Formula: see text] are investigated in this paper. First of all, by employing the average dwell time technique and Lyapunov functional method, some sufficient conditions for finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of fractional order switched systems are proposed. Furthermore, the state feedback controllers are constructed, and sufficient conditions are given to ensure that the corresponding closed-loop syste… Show more

“…The subsystems can be described by a collection of differential or difference equations, and the switching rule is responsible for arranging when and which subsystem to be activated. Switched systems have attracted considerable attention during the last decades, not only because of their theoretical value (Ai and Peng, 2018; Jiao et al, 2019; Liang et al, 2019; Liu et al, 2019; Song et al, 2019; Sun and Ge, 2005; Wang et al, 2019a, 2019b, 2020; Zong et al, 2015), but also due to their widespread practical applications, such as network control systems (Sun and Ge, 2006), power electronics (Tse and Bernardo, 2002), flight control systems (Pellanda et al, 2002), stirred tank reactor (El-Farra et al, 2005), and so forth.…”

“…The stability analysis of switched systems is one of most basic problems in switched system theory, and there are many results in this area (e.g. Liang et al, 2019a, 2019b; Sun et al, 2008, Wang et al, 2019). Also, in practice, time-delay is a common phenomenon in the control system.…”

“…Therefore, in order to detect whether these large values are generated by the system state, or to ensure the prescribed performance of the system in a short time, it is more practical to focus on the transient behaviour of the system response than the asymptotic behaviour. In other words, in view of a system whose state is not completely acquired or output is limited to a certain range in a short time, the problem of finite-time stability is equivalent to the stability behaviour in a finite time (Gholami and Shafiei, 2019; Liang et al,2019; Gokhan and Ulviye, 2018; Wen et al, 2019). Literature (Bhat and Bernstein, 1998) shows that the finite-time stable system not only has fast convergence speed, but also has good robustness and anti-interference performance.…”
