Abstract:Maximum photochemical efficiency, Fv/Fm, is the preferred metric for quantifying the loss of photosystem II (PSII) function in photosynthetic algal symbionts (Symbiodiniaceae) of reef-building corals exposed to heat-stress, particularly at the early stages of coral bleaching.
