Abstract:This work presents two circuit-based solutions to enhance the power handling capabilities of waveguide-integrated uni-travelling carrier photodetectors (WG-UTC-PDs). Compared to a baseline WG-UTC-PD, these solutions achieve a fivefold increase in photocurrent before thermal breakdown.
