In addition, many patients had previously received tetracycline prior to the fixed drug incident, with one patient receiving up to five documented courses prior to the reaction [17]. Notably absent from the literature are more severe and widespread dermatologic reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and Drug Rash with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS), which has rarely been associated with other tetracycline derivatives such as minocycline and doxycycline.…”
