Abstract:Generation IV type fast reactors (FR) are expected to be commercially deployed instead of light water reactors (LWR) from around 2050. Replacement of LWR to FR needs flexibility due to uncertain factors such as FR deployment rate which affects the FR fuel (Pu) supply amount from LWR spent fuel reprocessing and the capacity of related facilities.
