Florística do Entorno de Cavernas em Remanescentes de Mata Atlântica e Caatinga de Sergipe (Floristic of Surrounding Caves in Remnants of Atlantic Rainforest and Caatinga of Sergipe State, Brazil)

Abstract

A conservação da vegetação presente no entorno de cavernas contribuiu para a manutenção da biodiversidade, especialmente porque os ecossistemas cavernícolas possuem relações ecológicas únicas. O objetivo deste estudo foi fornecer uma listagem florística dos remanescentes de Mata Atlântica e Caatinga no entorno de sete cavernas em Sergipe. Foram realizadas consultas ao banco de dados do Herbário da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (ASE), e seis expedições de campo (período de setembro/2014 a fevereiro/2015), efetuando-se amostragens num raio de 60 metros da entrada de cada caverna. Após a identificação taxonômica, as espécies foram classificadas em endêmicas e/ou potencialmente invasoras da Mata Atlântica e da Caatinga. Foram registradas 79 espécies em 69 gêneros pertencentes a 38 famílias na Mata Atlântica e 35 espécies em 34 gêneros pertencentes a 20 famílias na Caatinga. Destas, três foram espécies potencialmente invasoras (duas espécies para Mata Atlântica e uma espécie para Caatinga) e seis espécies endêmicas (cinco espécies para Mata Atlântica e uma para a Caatinga). Considerando os dois levantamentos são estimadas 156 espécies para o entorno das cavernas no estado. Apesar dos fragmentos do entorno das cavernas apresentarem-se antropizados, os mesmos possuem riqueza florística significativa e são importantes para a manutenção dos processos ecológicos no ecossistema cavernícola. A B S T R A C TThe conservation of the vegetation present in the surroundings of caves contributed to the maintenance of the biodiversity, especially because the cave ecosystems have unique ecological relations. The aim of this paper was provide a floristic list of the Atlantic rainforest and Caatinga (dry forest) remnants in the vicinity of seven caves in Sergipe state, Northeast Brazil. Were realized consultations in database of Herbarium of Federal University of Sergipe (ASE) and six field expeditions (from September/2014 to February/2015), being the sampling performed within a radius of 60 meters from the entrance of each cave. After the taxonomic identification, the species were classified as endemic and/or invasive alien of the Atlantic rainforest and Caatinga. Were recorded 79 species in 69 genera belonging to 38 families in the Atlantic rainforest and 35 species in 34 genera belonging to 20 families in the Caatinga. Were found three invasive alien species (two species to the Atlantic rainforest and one species for the Caatinga) and six endemic species (five species to the Atlantic rainforest and one for the Caatinga). Considering the two surveys are estimated 156 species for the surroundings of the caves in the state. Despite the surrounding fragments of caves showed to be anthropized, they have significant floristic richness and are important for the maintenance of ecological processes in the cave ecosystem.Keywords: conservation, natural cavities, biomes.
