Fluctuation conductivity in the superconducting compound Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy

Abstract: A study of how the partial substitution of Bi with Pb impacts the mechanism of excess conductivity in a Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system. It is found that such a substitution leads to an increase in the critical temperature of the Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy(B2) sample, in comparison to Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox (B1) [Tc (B2) = 100.09 K and Tc (B1) = 90.5 K, respectively].
