“…In order to further explore the potential of the synthesized CH 2 Cl-functionalized graphene for 5-FU delivery, the obtained result was compared with some earlier studies. 57–61 As listed in Table 1, the CH 2 Cl-functionalized graphene presented an acceptable 5-FU loading percentage when compared to the other compounds, indicating its great potential as an effective carrier for 5-FU drug loading.…”

“…Zhai et al. [ 73 ] could synthesize two new imine‐based COF functionalized by fluorine, through the condensation‐based reaction between 2,5‐difluoro terephthalaldehyde with 4,4′,4′′‐(1,3,5‐triazine‐2,4,6‐triyl) trianiline or 1,3,5‐tri‐(4‐aminophenyl) benzene, which resulted COF‐8 and COF‐9, respectively. 5‐FU and CAP were chosen to load on the synthesized COFs as these drugs contain sulfhydryl, amide, and carboxyl groups enabling them to form Fluorine‐Hydrogen bonds with COFs.…”

“…The endocytosis of both COFs was monitored using rhodamine B dye in B16F10 cells, which showed their successful cellular uptake. 176 Wang and co-workers reported the preparation of a delivery system for doxorubicin (DOX) and camptothecin (CPT) based on a methoxylated covalent organic framework (mCOF). Specifically, 1,3,5-tris-(4-aminophenyl)benzene (TAPB) and 2,5-dimethoxyterephthalaldehyde (DMTP) were used to form the desired mCOF with an average pore size of 2.25 nm and BET surface area of 682.3 m 2 g À1 .…”
