“…In past few years, several maxillofacial surgeons have expanded their practice in cosmetic and hair restoration surgeries. Moreover, hair transplant techniques have been successfully used in camouflage correction of cleft lip scars, face lift scars, post-burn or traumatic scars, reconstruction of eyebrows, eyelashes, beard, mustache, vitiligo and as an adjunct to various maxillofacial procedures [14][15][16][17][18][19]. Despite worldwide interest, there is a general dearth of the literature in maxillofacial journals on this topic.…”

Patient age ranged from 15 to 25 years old, the causes of alopecia was post burn scar in 8 cases (40 %), post traumatic scar in 9 cases (45%), post-surgical scar in 2 cases (5%) and two cases after skin expander (10%).…”

“…In our study for scalp, 150-3360 grafts were inserted and the ranges for beard, eyebrow and moustache were 20-2050, 75-700 and 40-207 grafts, respectively that denotes to a higher graft counts from scalp and beard as available harvesting donor regions. The difference is dependent on how much if any preexisting hairs were present, the thickness of the donor hairs, and of course the exact desired shape and density of hairs and the type and depth of scars 19 .…”
