Foreign Students in the University of the Immaculate Conception and their Multi-Faceted Experiences

Abstract

Abstractis qualitative study aimed to present baseline information about the academic and social experiences of the foreign students at the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC). e researchers conducted a focus group discussion involving 15 of them who are currently enrolled in various programs of the university. rough an in-depth interview, it was found that most of the foreign students have known UIC via a recommendation of a friend, or the internet. Findings revealed that the existence of the foreign students in UIC is characterized both by pleasant and unpleasant experiences.e positive feedback about the UIC educational system opens a possibility for more in ux of foreign students while the unpleasant experiences pose dramatic amendments in established policies of the university.
