Abstract:Atopic Dermatitis (AD) is one of the most frequent chronic skin diseases. AD is characterized by a complex, heterogeneous pathogenesis. In this review, we highlight some selected aspects of the pathophysiology of AD, which have gained much attention during recent years. These aspects profoundly changed our view of the pathogenesis of AD and will have impact on its management.
