Fractal analysis and its applications in human palaentology

Abstract: Fractal analysis was applied in human palaentology by Gibert and Palmqvist to estimate the value of the fractal dimension obtained from the cranial sutures preserved in the fragment of occipital bone (VM-0) found at the Venta Micena site. This paper also estimated the values of fractal dimension for different specimens in order to establish a taxonomy.
