Abstract:The pulvinar is a posterior thalamic nucleus, with a heterogeneous anatomo-functional organization. It is divided into four parts, including the medial pulvinar, which is densely connected with primary unisensory and multisensory cortical regions, and subcortical structures, including the superior colliculus.
