From Gradient Elasticity to Gradient Interatomic Potentials: The Case-Study of Gradient London Potential

Abstract: Motivated by the special theory of gradient elasticity (GradEla), a proposal is advanced for extending it to construct gradient models for interatomic potentials, commonly used in atomistic simulations.
