From the medical to the bio-psychosocial approach of COPD patients through the lens of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health

Abstract

The article presents the literature review, in which the results of the research regarding the course of the medico-social expertise over the years are presented, starting from the medical and work expertise and with the elucidation of the latest bio-psychosocial approaches of the disabled person. At the same time, the article reflects the principles of implementation of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health in patients with COPD. The following databases were used as a source of scientific literature: Google Scholar, PubMed and eLibrary. The keywords that were used in the search: "COPD", "CIF", "numeric codes", "bio-psychosocial model of disability".
