Abstract:Natural rubber (NR) material is indispensable in various fields of our daily life, while its preparation usually involves toxic cross-linking agents and energy-consuming vulcanization processes. The permanent cross-linking network of NR products also makes its degradation and recycling difficult. Herein, a fully biosourced, vulcanization-free NR material is developed by simply introducing carrageenan (KC) in the rubber matrix via a facile aqueous mixing method. The nonrubber components (NRCs) on the rubber lat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
