Abstract:In plant secondary metabolite biosynthesis, acylation is a diverse physiological process, with BAHD acyltransferases playing an essential role. Borneol acetyltransferase (BAT) is an alcohol acetyltransferase, which catalyzes borneol and acetyl-CoA to synthesize bornyl acetate (BA).
