“…Figure depicts the TEM images of nano‐TiO 2 , MPS‐TiO 2 , and TiO 2 /PDFMA nanocomposites with different TiO 2 content. As shown in Figure (a), the native nano‐TiO 2 appears to aggregate that might be caused by the van der Vaals interparticle attraction between primary particles themselves . After modified by silane coupling agent, it is seen that the dispersibility of particles is better than native particles [Figure (b)].…”

“…The TFEMA was passed through a column of basic alumina and distilled under reduced pressure to remove the inhibitor, and were stored in a refrigerator before use . The silane coupling agent γ‐(methacryloyloxy) propyltrimethoxysilane (KH570) was used to modify the nano‐TiO 2 . The procedure for pretreatment of TiO 2 nanoparticles was as follows: TiO 2 nanoparticles (5 g), anhydrous ethanol (130 ml), ammonia (3.4 g), deionized water (6.5 g), and KH570 (3.1 g) were successively added into a flask (250 ml) and ultrasonically dispersed for 1.5 h. Then the flask was connected with a return tube and a thermometer, and the dispersion was continually stirred in it at 75°C for 5.5 h. After the reaction, the white powders (KH570‐TiO 2 ) were obtained by vacuum drying for 15 h after filtering and washing with anhydrous ethanol four times to remove the unreacted KH570.…”
