The rationale on the use of sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy in the surgical staging of apparent early-stage ovarian cancer (OC) is supported by the fact that diagnostic and prognostic role of systematic staging lymphadenectomy has been determined but its therapeutic significance is still matter of controversy.
