Abstract:Massive irregular deployments of small cells require corresponding physical cell identities (PCIs) in heterogeneous cellular networks. The number of PCIs is restricted by the synchronisation sequence result in PCI reuse at an appropriate distance among base stations. Some methods of PCI assignment are given either globally optimal or completely preferential. Accordingly, the former cannot guarantee handover performance, and the latter may lead to low efficiency of allocations. A layered allocation algorithm ba… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
