Game Theory-Based Smart Mobile-Data Offloading Scheme in 5G Cellular Networks

Abstract: Mobile-data traffic exponentially increases day by day due to the rapid development of smart devices and mobile internet services. Thus, the cellular network suffers from various problems, like traffic congestion and load imbalance, which might decrease end-user quality of service. This work compensates for the problem of offloading in the cellular network by forming device-to-device (D2D) links. A game scenario is formulated where D2D-link pairs compete for network resources. In a D2D-link pair, the data of a… Show more

“…Although Android as an operating system was not affected much, but as we all know, Google Play, a connected service, was given the risk of instability (Liu et al, 2020). The reason why smart phones are "smart" is that they allow users to obtain applications through channels and support users to freely configure applications in hardware terminals, when the official channels of Android are covered with a layer of haze, coupled with the unique openness of Android, the status of channel providers for distributing handicraft products is increasingly important (Thien et al, 2020). This is the biggest enlightenment brought to practitioners by the mobile Internet in the outbreak stage.…”

“…We should select the neighbour vehicle which is close to the destination vehicle and moves toward the destination vehicle as the next-hop vehicle. In order to evaluate the position relation between the neighbour vehicle and the destination vehicle, the RLbR uses position factor PF to quantify, considering the Euclidean distance between the neighbour vehicle and the destination vehicle and the motion state of the neighbour vehicle, so that data packets can be better forwarded toward the destination vehicle, reducing packet forwarding times and saving energy, as shown in Equation (7).…”

“…Thien et al [22] Energy and throughput are the key factor in the offloading process. To control these parameters the author designed an algorithm based on the NBS theory.…”

“…In [22], the author takes the issue of load imbalance and traffic congestion issues for mobile users which degrade the service‐level quality of the users. The arising issue is solved through the cooperative game NB solution and the experimental results show the optimal offloading ratio as compared to the existing solution.…”
