Abstract:Decommissioning is the last step in the life cycle of a nuclear facility. After the evacuation of the facility components, the remaining structures such as concrete walls and floors must be surveyed to ensure that no residual contamination remains. It is a costly and time consuming activity, for which CEA develops fast alpha and beta detection methods allowing a full scanning of very large areas (hundreds of thousands of square meters) in legacy uranium enrichment plants. To support these developments, we pres… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
