Abstract:Lipomas of the gastrointestinal tract are rare; gastric lipomas account for only 5% of all gastrointestinal lipomas. Although they are usually asymptomatic and detected incidentally, severe symptoms can occur with larger lesions, such as bleeding, abdominal pain or obstruction.
