Abstract: This research is a part of a study that focuses on the communication between refugees and hosts in Pekanbaru city, Indonesia. 'Refugee' is a status to refer to people who are forced to leave their home countries because of war, violence, conflict, or persecution to survive in neighboring countries or countries directed by the UNHCR.
