Genome complexity of a powerful cellulolytic fungus,Penicillium funiculosum

Abstract: The genomic complexity of a powerful cellulolytic fungus, Penicillium funiculosum was investigated by studying its DNA reassociation kinetics. Approx. 10% of the total genomic DNA formed duplexes 5828 times faster than the slow component and these were considered to consist of repeated DNA sequences.
