Geotechnical Issues in Decommissioning Surface Lignite Mines—The Case of Amyntaion Mine in Greece

Abstract: Recent changes in the fossil-fuel energy sector require coal mining industries to plan for the future, including developing procedures for decommissioning and closure associated with mines.
