Abstract:Electric field-induced second harmonic generation (EFISH) allows electrically controlling nonlinear light-matter interactions crucial for emerging integrated photonics applications. Despite its wide presence in materials, the figures-of-merit of EFISH are yet to be elevated to enable novel device functionalities.
