Gingival Localized Reactive Lesions: A Demographic and Retrospective Study

A An na ah h t ta ar r K Ke e l li i m me e l le er r: : Granülom, dev hücre; diş eti aşırı büyümesi; fibrom A AB BS S T TR RA AC CT T O Ob bj je ec ct ti iv ve e: : To evaluate the demographics and clinical data of localized reactive gingival overgrowths (LRGO) which are benign lesions that includes peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF), peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG), pyogenic granuloma (PG) and focal fibrous hyperplasia (FFH) in a Turkish population. M Ma at te er ri ia al l a an nd d M Me et th ho od ds s: : The retrospective clinical data of all patients with LRGO which were treated with surgical excision between years 2013-2015 retrieved from the archieves of our institution and studied. R Re es su ul lt ts s: : There were 150 patients with 156 LRGO cases. 127 of the cases were FFH, 16 of them PGCG, 9 of them POF and 4 of them were PG. PG, PGCG and POF cases showed female preponderance. FFH and PGCG cases were mostly localized on mandible. POF and PG cases were equally distributed on maxilla and mandible.
