Thermoelectric materials can convert waste heat to electricity. Ternary thallium-telluride alloys, such as Ag-Te-Tl or Cu-Te-Tl, are materials with extremely low thermal conductivity that have potential to be the next generation of thermoelectric materials. Furthermore, Te-Tl glass is a potential new glass for photonic devices. Thus, knowledge of the binary phase diagram and future calculations of higher-ordered systems are very important. In this work, the Te-Tl binary system has been modeled using the associate solution model. Good agreement between experimental data reported in the literature and calculations has been obtained.
