Abstract: BackgroundInterstitial lung diseases (ILDs) are indispensable components of chronic respiratory diseases and global health challenges. We aimed to explore the global long-term changes in the prevalence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of ILDs; investigate the independent effect of age, period, and cohort; and project the disease burden over the next decade.MethodsData were retrieved from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) database 2019. The joinpoint regression model was used to calculate… Show more

“…Data was categorized based on sex and age groups, which encompassed the following ranges: 0–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80–84, 85–89, 90–94, and 95+ years of age. The age-standardized rate for two subtypes of lymphoma is calculated on the basis of the GBD 2019 global age-standardized population [ 32 , 33 ].…”

“…The exact verbiage varies from subtypes, disorders, disease entities, conditions, types, forms, or varieties of ILD. The number is proliferating like mushrooms in the middle of the night and has increased over time, from 100 [ 2 ] to 150 [ 3 , 4 ] to over 200 [ 5 , 6 ] unique ILDs.…”
