In the present work, a polypyrrole-gold electrocatalyst was fabricated over Toray carbon paper via electrochemical techniques and was characterized through SEM-EDX, ATR-IR, RAMAN, and XRD. The electrode has been investigated for its application in the electrooxidation process of glycerol in alkaline medium by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that the manufactured electrocatalyst present favorable activity towards the glycerol electrooxidation reaction with peak density currents up to 43.49 mA cm-2 with peak potentials at 0.48 V vs RHE.
