Abstract:GPS, Global Positioning System, is a US satellite-based navigation system which can accurately determine position, velocity, and time in a common reference system, anywhere on or near the Earth on a continuous basis. Other Satellite-Based Navigation Systems Next to GPS, several other global satellite-based navigation systems (GNSS) are in operation.
