Abstract:A novel type of titanium matrix composite (TMC) with a uniform network microstructure has been successfully fabricated by adjusting particle-size mismatch (Φ). This study can also improve the understanding of the effects of particle size on microstructure and mechanical properties, particularly in titanium matrix composites reinforced with graphite flakes (GNFs). Microstructural analysis reveals the absence of noticeable defects, and significant grain refinements have been realized. The experimental results in… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
