The conventional methods for synthesis of 2‐substituted benzothiazoles includes using metals as catalysts for intramolecular cyclization reactions and also the condensation of 2‐aminothiophenol with alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, halides, ammonium triflates, β‐oxodithioesters and amines .
