“…From the list, only two biomass specimens achieved a surface area below the surface area of palm kernel shell in this study, date palm tree and yellow mombin fruit stones. Celery, a vegetable, yielded the highest surface area compared to any other biomass and was activated by carbonization without an activating agent (Khosrowshahi et al 2022). Based on the relationship between activation temperature and activating agent to the surface area, it can be concluded that a combination of high temperature with an activating agent can lead to higher surface area in most cases despite the high surface area of the initial celery.…”
