“…The bands observed at 2921, 1380 and 1030 cm −1 were attributed to C-H stretching vibration, C-O stretching vibration and C-O bending frequencies, respectively. All these bands confirmed that the main plant metabolites from the fruit extract involved in the synthesis of AgNPs are polyphenols, phenolic acids and flavonoids, results in agreement with previous studies [12,37]. The X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) was used to investigate the crystallinity of the nanoparticles.…”

“…Silver nanoparticles' antibacterial activity is the most promising in the drug delivery field, where they are the most interesting materials in clinical research due to their increasing microbial resistance to metal ions, antibiotics, and the development of resistance of various strains [34]. Owing to their large surface area, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are very significant compared to their volume.…”

“…The higher sizes detected are the consequence of aggregation of smaller nanoparticles, which lead to a high value of PDI. Most literature indicate a similar particle size of AgNPs ranging from 10-800nm as described in neem, onion and tomato extracts with a PDI between 0.2-1.0 [27]. Similar results were obtained using a Berberis leaf extract where the silver nanoparticles showed a size between 90-100 nm, and a PDI of 0.3, the authors of the study point out that although these nanoparticles had a high DL values, aggregation of small nanoparticles were detected by TEM analysis [28].…”
