Greenhouse Locating Based on Anp-Copras-G Methods – An Empirical Study Based on Iran

Abstract: The selection of a location among alternative locations is a multi criteria decision-making problem including both quantitative and qualitative criteria. In this paper, we describe the research and development of hybrid MCDM methods for greenhouse locating. Selection of the most appropriate location for investor is an important problem which requires assessment and analysis of several factors. The paper clarifies the structure of important criteria in greenhouse locating. The six factors identified wer… Show more

“…The first point should be considered to design greenhouses is to choose the suitable site (location), (Jaafarnia, Homaei 2009;Rezaeiniya et al 2012Rezaeiniya et al , 2014. Designers have to consider a number of factors in greenhouse locating: heating supply, greenhouse expansion plans, access to electricity, access to specialized labor, access to fuel (Jaafarnia, Homaei 2009; Rezaeiniya et al 2012Rezaeiniya et al , 2014.…”

“…Thus, the alternative L1 is superior to the others and the ranking presented in Table 17 is acceptable. MAIRCA presents a new MCDA method so it should be compared with other already proven methods. There are different studies associated with location selection decisions that have been commonly carried out by using multi-criteria decision-making techniques, location problems with MOORA and COPRAS method [67][68][69], selecting distribution centers for a firm and location choice of distribution centers with VIKOR [70], location selection of logistics centres based on Fuzzy AHP and TOPSIS [71], and selection of logistics centres' locations with fuzzy TOPSIS based on entropy weight [72]. The methods VIKOR, TOPSIS, MOORA and COPRAS are proposed in the previously stated references as prominent for location ranking.…”

“…For the same problem Aragonés-Beltrán, PastorFerrando, García-García, and Pascual-Agulló (2010) proposed ANP and AHP methods. Rezaeiniya, Hashemkhani Zolfani, and Zavadskas (2012) developed the hybrid of MCDM methods -ANP and COPRAS-G -for greenhouse locating. The article by Lee (2015) proposes a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats -fuzzy analytic network process (SWOT-FANP) analysis of location selection for a second tier city in China.…”
