“…The study of death, grief and mourning has been done in various fields such as psychology (Robert, 2000;Klimczuk & Fabis, 2017;O'connor, 2019), medicine (Shear, 2012;Hagan, 2015;Schmidt et al, 2016), anthropology (Kiong & Schiller, 1993;Robben, 10.20378/irb-92496 2018; Silverman et al, 2021), sociology (Riley, 1983;Walter, 2008;Puri, 2021), pastoral studies (Cox & Fundis, 1992;Cox et al, 2003;Baloyi, 2014;Bregman, 2019), and religious studies (Lloyd, 1996;Filippo, 2006;Setta & Shemie, 2015). Yet more recent publications have focused on this subject focusing specifically on the COVID-19 pandemic death experiences (Mortazavi et al, 2021;Trebski, 2021;Sibanda, Muyambo & Chitando, 2022).
