Growing environment characteristics and vegetation structure ofVaccinium OldhamiiMiq. native habitats in Korea

Abstract: In the present study was surveyed the flora, vegetation structure, growing environment, and soil characteristics in the wild habitats of Vaccinium oldhamii and offered basic information for habitat conservation and restoration. Most of the wild habitats of V. oldhamii were located at altitudes between 5 and 1095 m with inclinations of 2-33 , Dense populations were found around the climbing routes of the north-facing mountain slopes and dry rocky areas along mountain ridges. Vascular plants identified in the su… Show more

“…The IV was further used to rank each plant species and species with the highest IV were considered as the dominant species [46,47]. Similarly, each plant community was named based on three dominant species [49][50][51][52]. The slope angle, aspect and exposure were recorded using clinometer; and altitude, longitude and latitude were measured by geographical positioning system (GPS).…”

“…The species were further ranked with the highest IV and considered the representative species [ 19 , 62 ]. Similarly, plant communities were designated based on three dominant species [ 63 , 64 , 65 , 66 ]. Moreover, both attributes of the biological spectrum (life form and leaf size spectra) were recognized by the following [ 67 ].…”

“…The IV was further used to rank each species, and those with the highest IV were considered as the dominant species [42,43]. Similarly, plant communities were named after three dominant species [45][46][47][48][49]. The slope angle, aspect (i.e., east, west, south, and north), and exposure of each sampled point were recorded using a clinometer, and altitude, longitude, and latitude were measured by the geographical positioning system (GPS).…”
